Dinner at Gumbo Shop at 630 Saint Peter Street: reviews didn't look very promising, but the jambalaya was excellent, and the two hurricanes definitely weren't watered down. Later, back on Toulouse and Royal, I listened for a long time to a very incredible duo, violin and guitar, called Tanya & Dorise. AMAZING. Mini-concert ended by a wedding party passing by. . .
